Used Simonds Model MK48 Vertical Spindle Traveling Head Knife Grinder, serial number 1622. 48" Length capacity with 5hp TEFC 240/480V Grinding head motor, currently wired for 240V. Can be easily changed to 480V operation. Acme style knife bar for planer or shaver knives up to 1/2" thick and 5" wide. Cooling pump for grinding head. Automatic down feed. Grinding head travels on Precision Thompson round-way shafts and bearings, available worldwide. Mounted on heavy duty floor stand. Approximate weight is 1,200 lbs. Floor space is 74" x 30" x 60" high. Appears in very good condition and will be checked and tested in our shop. See photos of on our web site. Inventory No. 12567.
